Front Cover
Shadows House volume 12 is out now in Japan, and the new cover looks amazing. The green and black color scheme makes for a mysterious and unsettling atmosphere, that helps to capture the insanity of Oliver and Ollie briefly shown in volume 12. If you look closely on the left you can see Kate sitting down, and Emilyko in the reflection of the beaker below Ollie.
Back Cover
The back cover features a side profile of Ollie in front of scorches locked up in containers and stacked on top of each other. Let's hope that no one knocks them down by mistake! The scorches are making all kinds of silly faces; some look sad, while others are trying to escape, and one even has an upside-down face!
Hard Cover
Beneath the dust cover, you can find what looks like Oliver and Ollie’s notes about scorches drawn to look like it’s placed on top of the manga. I always love how the hardcovers look, especially when there's things such as soot hand prints on them!
Final Thoughts
Personally, I’m in love with the volume 12 cover, I just wish the English manga was hardcover too. This cover definitely takes the cake and is now my personal favorite right above volume 6.
